Regarding Requests and Trades

To all of those who have been messaging me lately asking me to do trades and requests, I am putting this here as a blanket answer (there’s simply too many to respond to individually at the moment)

Plushies are currently my only source of income. Each plushie I make is priced to covered materials, time, and have a small amount of profit for medical bills and other necessities which are carefully planned out so I know I can afford them at the end of the month. That being said, I cannot afford to do ANYTHING for free that I haven’t planned ages in advanced for.

As much as I would love to do trades and give everyone in the world a custom made plushie, these things have a lot of money put into them and to make them with no profit to show for it would put me out of house and home very quickly. A single yard of fabric usually costs between 7 and 12 dollars, embroidery costs are least 5 per piece, stuffing costs 35 per bag, shipping can costs anywhere from 5 to 50, and all the time spent costs me time on something that could have helped pay for all of that in the long run.

So when I politely tell you I can’t make something without payment, please don’t try to guilt me into it or make me feel bad. I barely make enough to get by as it is and when the day comes that I can afford to give things away regularly, I will let you know.

~ Monogram Hand Towels ~
With autumn deciding it’s ready to start and craft fair season creeping up, I’ve had to really start thinking about things to make and sell. Sadly, toys and plushies just don’t sell well in my local area so I decided to do something more practical that will hopefully get a little attention from customers.
Each towel is carefully machine embroidered with high quality thread and double stabilizer on high quality, terrycloth towels. I’m doing lots of different colors and at least one of each letter….now we hope they sell or everyone in my family is getting a towel for Christmas.

~ Frog Embroidered Baby Blanket ~
After messing up 5 different times, I finally finished this and considering it’s just for stock purposes, I’m not sure why I tried so hard to get it done. I plan to make a bunch of these for the upcoming Fall Festival craft fair and hopefully make a bit of extra cash. With any luck they will have less problems than this one…

We’re 11 followers away from our next giveaway so keep your eyes open for an announcement in the near future! Not sure what I’ll giveaway this time, but I’d like to give a quick thank you to all of my followers so far! Your support means a lot ~

So this little guy is one that I made on accident because I used the wrong color on a commission. Seeing as there was nothing wrong with the sewing, I figured I might as well finish it up, but now I’m stuck with what to do with his mane and tail. I feel bad leaving him bald, but for now that’s how he must remain because my imagination is shot.
If you have any ideas, feel free to throw them my way!

~ Scalemate Plushie ~

And the final Scalemate from my fantroll blog giveaway is finally ready to go. It took forever to find the right colors and getting the little symbol to line up right, but I think this guy is a real cutie. So happy to have these off my list.

Hand sewn out of fleece with button eyes and custom embroidery.

Cleaned up my sewing room while I waited for some embroidery files to be digitized. Going to be buying some shelves to properly display my finished work and things waiting for payment, but that will have to wait until all these other projects are done.
